So, you like running, and you like helping nature.
That’s why we decided to put those two things together and take some action/fun!
Hi everyone,
Is that time of the year when I am getting older, wiser, and wrinklier...so old I actually forgot to create my birthday cleanup event lol
So the idea is this:
As many of you know, the last year has been a fight against litter, organising events and collecting more than 700kgs of trash from rivers, parks, and beaches with an amazing team of volunteers.
I wanted to have a different celebration this year, and share with you what has been my mission these last couple of months. I tried to get some kayaks, but didn't work...so it will be a normal cleanup morning as usual :)
Here's how the morning will go:
08.30am Meetup at Studley Park Boathouse for cleanup event
08.45am safety and event briefing
09.00am plogging/cleanup event starts
09.45am back to meetup point to weight bags
10.00am cleanup wrap up
10.30am Breakfast at Lentil As Anything I don't know how many people will join me for breakfast, but let's see if we can get there and find some big space. I will call the people from Lentils to give a heads up.
You can either join me for both or just breakfast :) but it would be awesome to spend my birthday in a way to give back to the planet and the community (that's why I picked Lentils!)
I will provide all cleanup materials, but feel free to bring garden gloves and a bag too.
The cleanup event is inclusive 100%, everyone is welcome no matter what fitness level you have. This is a family-friendly event and Puppers are welcome too!
See you soon!
Karin
Meeting point in the picnic tables next to the toilets/carpark
If you can't make it, please SHARE :D Let's spread the love for our trails!
