So, you like running, and you like helping nature.

That’s why we decided to put those two things together and take some action/fun!

Let’s go plogging and help our planet!

What is “plogging”? Born in Scandinavia, plogging is the combination of jogging and picking up rubbish, helping the environment while keeping yourself active. How good is that?!

Now is up to you! Come and join us for a fun run/cleanup walk of 45min to 1hr where we will help as a community while learning how to be an environmentally responsible runner 💚🌎

And for the exciting part: The Little Litter Project will be joining forces in this Special Edition event! YES! The awesome legend Candace Colaco will join us on the day as part of the #plasticfreejuly movement!

Not a runner? Don't worry! We will have a walking group for you! Everyone is welcome. Children and pups too!

Coffee, chats, and treats after we finish our fun run/walk by the Studley Boathouse cafe. BYO keep cup please!

Help cleanup our waterways and the species that rely on their health, such as the Pobblebonk frog.

We will be spreading the word about this amazing organisation and their mission in litter prevention and cleanup events.

This August edition will be run in collaboration with: CITY OF YARRA COUNCIL!

Yes! We will be teaming up with the awesome City of Yarra Council for future events within the local community! With the new Waste Revolution Trial, our friends from CoY are giving a good fight in the war on waste, reinventing the way how Council and Community recycle together.

Not a runner? Don't worry! We will have a walking group for you! Everyone is welcome. Children and pups too!

After we finish, we will have some snacks for you!

What should I bring:

Active clothes according to weather conditions 🧢

Keepcup or reusable cup for coffee

Meeting point at the famous water tap next to St. Kevin’s Boatshed (please see map for reference)

There are few parking spots along the Capital City Trail, but we encourage you to cycle or use public transport. The best way to get to the Meeting Point is to hop off at Heyington or South Yarra train station. We recommend you to plan your commute, as you will have to walk/warm up to the starting point (like 10-15 min max).

Our friends from Footscray Rubbish Runners are hosting their 15th Rubbish Run this 10th of August!

Make sure you drop by and say hi! Every month, this Footscray local heroes catch up over coffee to help keeping their streets clean and tidy!

Here is the info for their event:

Hello all - we're back to our usual start/end location of Rudimentary Cafe in August for Rubbish Run/Walk #15!

Gloves, bags and safety vests will be supplied as per usual - with Louise leading the walking group and Derek taking the runners.

The monthly "Glove of Glory" will be up for grabs also!

We'll run/walk for an hour and then meet back at Rudimentary Cafe for coffee and good times.

During this year's National Sustainable Living Festival, we will be facilitating these fun events for the City of Melbourne! So come and join us fighting pollution!

Sessions will be held around the city and will help to prevent plastic and other litter from reaching Port Phillip Bay. Come and be a part of this energetic environmental movement!

All materials will be provided!
Just bring water and smiles!

Salomon Road Trip Series - Melbourne

For our first stop of 2019, the Salomon Running Road Trip Series is heading to Melbourne!

We will start central with Studley Park, head down the coast to Torquay, back to central and then around the bay to the Mornington Peninsula!

Bringing value through encouragement, experience and adventure will be Salomon athletes Lucy Bartholomew, Majell Backhausen, Simone Brick and Pat Bowring (aka Ultra Chef).

We welcome all abilities and all you need to bring is a smile, a great attitude and try to bring a friend to share the experience too. We will have prizes, selfies, running, selfies again, watermelons, smiles, Salomon demos shoes and Suunto watch demos. *All runs are free to attend*
